For production-grade results, our high-definition (HD) plasma cutting equipment typically processes carbon steel between 1.5″ and 2″ in thickness. This range ensures the clean, precision edges and tight tolerances required for industrial components.
While our standard production capacity is optimized up to 2 inches, we can perform severance cuts on plate exceeding 2.5″. However, please note that edge quality for severance cuts may differ from our standard production-grade finishes.
For projects involving carbon steel that exceed the practical limits of plasma, we offer oxy-fuel cutting as a robust alternative. Our multi-torch systems can process carbon steel up to approximately 6″ thick, ensuring we can handle your heavy-duty fabrication needs regardless of material thickness.
Our HD plasma services are effective across a variety of conductive materials, including:
- Carbon Steel: 1.5″ to 2″ (Production); 2.5″+ (Severance)
- Stainless Steel: Typically up to 2″ thick
- Aluminum: Typically up to 2″ thick
As your leading metal manufacturer, we maintain strict edge quality and material traceability across all these thickness ranges to support your project requirements.
